Additional charges have been filed against a Rembrandt man, who was accused of sexually assaulting a girl multiple times last week.
          36 year old Cory Wernimont was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail last week, and was charged with four counts of sexual abuse, a class C felony, after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 15 year old girl at least four times at 1156 510th Street in Rembrandt. 
          Further investigation has revealed that Wernimont allegedly sexually assaulted an additional female minor over an extended period of time.  Wernimont has additionally been charged with 60 counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, all class C felonies.   Wernimont is currently being held at the Buena Vista County Jail on a 50 thousand dollar cash bond. 
          The Iowa Department of Human Services and the Buena Vista County Attorney’s Office are assisting in the investigation, which is still on going.
