As part of Storm Lake’s process to convert their treatment process back to Chlorination, the city will begin flushing hydrants beginning at 11pm this Sunday night, August 12th.
          The flushing process is expected to take a week to conduct, and should be completed by August 19th.  Flushing will occur during the overnight hours starting at 11pm, and ending around 8am the following morning.
          During the flushing process, the city of Storm Lake recommends that customers check their water supply in the morning from the COLD water supply nearest their water meter, and if they notice discoloration or odor, they should flush their household system for five to seven minutes from that COLD water faucet nearest the water meter.
