The final presentation of the South School feasibility study was made to the Storm Lake city council Monday afternoon.
          Architect Mark Cipos says the building is in good structural shape and can be used for a variety of recreational purposes.  The plan shows the auditorium and gym would remain on the first floor… with the Witter Gallery at the front of the first floor.  Other space would be used for a meeting room and wellness/fitness center, with an adjoining outdoor workout area.  The cafeteria addition would house both a youth center and senior center… with a plaza on the northeast corner of the property.
          The second floor would house a business institute, business and collaborative spaces, meeting rooms, and multi-purpose education and business space.  Cipos said the building allows opening up spaces, which could be changed in the future as needs for the building change.
          Mayor Jon Kruse said the plan meets a lot of unmet needs.  He said there will be a lot of discussion before the city gets to a final plan and it will take some time to move forward.
