The Storm Lake City Council Monday afternoon approved the final reading an ordinance prohibiting “huffing” in the city.
          Public safety director Mark Prosser says there have been numerous incidents recently of people inhaling toxic substances… including one last week involving four teenage boys, ages 13 and 14.
          Prosser says it’s hoped with the ordinance, the users can receive through the justice system the resources to help them with their addictions.  The ordinance prohibits huffing… the possession or purchase and use of substances for huffing… and aiding others in the use of substances for huffing.  It includes fines of up to 625-dollars and up to 30 days in jail.
