Storm Lake's newest police officer was sworn-in Monday afternoon. 

Rhonda Boesenberg was sworn-in by mayor Jon Kruse in the city council chambers.

          Boesenberg is 25 and her hometown is Stanhope.  She has a criminal justice degree at Simpson College, and started with the Storm Lake Police Department on Sunday.  She begins field training, then will go to the police academy in September. 

Police chief Mark Prosser says with Boesenberg joining the force, the department is now at full strength.
