Newell Fest will be held Friday and Saturday in Newell.  The event begins with a community-wide dinner served in the city park, beginning at five o’clock Friday, served by the Newell-Fonda 2012 senior class.
          The dinner will be followed by several games… a car smash… and at seven, the “Newell”ywed Game… where Local couples show just how much they know each other.  There will be music provided by Robbie Vee and his Rock-N-Roll Caravan, beginning at 8:30 Friday evening.
          Satruday there will be an early morning walk/run… with the city-wide parade at 10:30, starting in the park.  A community lunch will also be served at the park, along with dedication of new playground equipment and a dodgeball tournament.  The band “No Where Fast” will perform Saturday evening at the Newell City Park.
