A Storm Lake man faces charges in connection with a domestic assault.
          According to police, the victim alleged her husband physically assaulted her Wednesday night at their residence at 504-E West Eighth Street.  Police allege the suspect took the victim’s cell phone, preventing her from calling 911.  The female victim was taken by ambulance to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center, where she was treated for injures received in the assault.
          Police say the suspect… 26-year-old William Reyes of Storm Lake… fled before police arrived.  Thursday night he surrendered at the police station and was charged with second-offense domestic assault causing bodily injury and obstruction of emergency communications.  Reyes is being held in the county jail without bond.
