Former Iowa Ag Secretary and Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge is touring the state… highlighting Iowa’s farm economy and wind energy.
          Judge… during a stop in Storm Lake… said the wind energy tax credit needs to be extended.  She says wind generates nearly 20-percent of Iowa’s energy and provides over 14-million dollars in leave payments to rural landowners and family farmers. 
          Judge says the wind energy industry is critical to Iowa's economy, as it leads the nation in the number of wind jobs, with 6000-7000 jobs.
          Judge notes the Obama administration has called on Congress to renew the credit.
