A Storm Lake man has been sentenced in Buena Vista County District Court on a domestic abuse charge.
          On July 28th of last year, Storm Lake police charged 19-year-old Uriel Salcido with domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.  Police allege he assaulted his child’s mother while she was holding the child.  Salcido pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 365 days in jail, suspended after serving two days.  He was placed on probation and ordered to pay 650-dollars in fines, surcharges, court costs, and restitution.  He was also ordered to pay legal fees and jail restitution… and to attend a domestic abuse intervention program.
