Star Energy in Storm Lake is now offering a wide range of ethanol blends due to the installation of the city’s first blender pump.
           The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association says Star Energy becomes the latest Iowa fuel retailer to install a blender pump, offering blends of E-15, E-30, and E-85 to help flex-fuel vehicle owners combat high prices at the pump.
          To celebrate the city’s first blender pump, Star Energy will hold a grand opening this Friday at 1508 East Fourth Street in Storm Lake. The event will begin with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 with Storm Lake United.  STAR Energy will offer flex-fuel sales discounts from eleven a-m until one p-m… with an 85-cent per gallon discount off E-85, a 30-cent per gallon discount off E-30, and a 15-cent per gallon discount off E-15. Also, lunch will be served at the station from eleven until two o’clock… and all customers will receive a STAR Energy gift bag with a flex-fuel purchase. The event is co-sponsored by the Buena Vista County Farm Bureau, Buena Vista County Corn Growers, Iowa Corn, and Iowa Renewable Fuels Association.
