A Storm Lake juvenile was arrested Sunday evening after police were dispatched to 1120 Oneida Street to investigate an assault.
A woman told police she and her 12-year-old son were assaulted by her 16-year-old son after an argument over a video game. The 16-year-old male had fled before police arrived. An officer located the boy near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Tenth Street. Police allege when the 16-year-old saw police he fled on foot. He was apprehended after a three-block chase.
Police charged the juvenile with two counts of assault and one count of interference with official acts. He was taken to the Youth Detention Facility in Cherokee pending an appearance in juvenile court.
