Jaden Holten threw a two-hit shutout and Alta Aurelia beat Sioux Central 5-0 in a class 2A district semi-final baseball game played Tuesday night at Emmetsburg.
Holton struck out seven and walked two and gave up both htis in the fifth inning.
The Warriors scored 3 runs on four hits in the first inning, rbi singles from Neil Marshall and Austin Delp and an rbi groundout from AJ Lange made it 3-0 after the first. Then in the third Lange drew a two out walk and Delp would follow with an rbi triple, and would later score on a wild pitch and that was all of the scoring. Delp finished with two hits and two rbi.
Brad Ripke took the loss giving up five runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two.
The Rebels finish the year with a record of 20-9.
The Warriors are now 21-10 and will play in a district final Saturday night at Emmetsburg at 7pm in a game that will be broadcast on Mix 101.7FM KAYL.
