7/3/12 Thompson Arrested Again
A Storm Lake man was arrested early Tuesday morning… only seven hours after he was released from the county jail.
Police were dispatched at 12:30 a.m. to Mo’s Bar on Lake Avenue… where officers were told 49-year-old James Thompson was told he was no longer allowed in the establishment. He was told to leave and allegedly refused. When officer arrived, Thompson had already fled. About a half-hour later, police were dispatched to 601-B West Ninth Street, where Thompson reportedly refused to leave the property. Police were told Thompson had allegedly identified himself as a Federal DEA Agent.
Thompson was taken into custody and charged with two counts of criminal trespass, a simple misdemeanor… and one count of impersonating a public official, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was jailed on a 26-hundred dollar bond.
Police report Thompson was released from the county jail Monday afternoon following an extended stay connected to a series of death threats against Storm Lake Police Officers.
