Panthers Remain Perfect In Conference Play



Storm Lake-Saint Mary's baseball team scored nine runs on just one hit in the decisive sixth inning and beat Laurens Marathon 15-4 in six innings Friday night at Laurens.

Kennedy Drey pitched six innings giving up four runs on four hits, striking out eight and walking five and picked up the win.  The Panthers had seven hits led by Jacob Kottke who went two for three with two RBI and two runs scored.

The Chargers Dalton Runneberg went two for three at the plate with two RBI.  Levi Bechtl suffered the loss.

The Chargers are now 1-18.  Saint Mary's is now 13-8 overall, 8-0 in the Twin Lakes Conference and will play Alta Aurelia and Sioux Central Monday and Tuesday, before closing out their regular season with a non-conference game against Ridge View.

The Laurens Marathon softball team beat Saint Mary's 11-1 in six innings.
