A Storm Lake man has received a suspended sentence on an assault charge.
          According to court records, 21-year-old Todd Sutton, Junior, was arrested by the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s office last October and charged with assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.  Sutton is accused of physically assaulting the victim by punching, choking, biting a finger, and pulling hair.
          Sutton pleaded guilty and was given a one-year suspended sentence.  He was placed on probation for one year… ordered to submit to a substance abuse evaluation… pay 525-dollars fines, surcharges, and court costs… and to pay legal fees and jail restitution.
