2/22/12 SL Council Sets Hearings
The Storm Lake city council will hold hearings on two street improvements projects at their next meeting.
The city plans to pave McKenna Road, at a cost of 132-thousand dollars. Infrastructure director Pat Kelly says the project will be financed through tax increment financing. The city also plans to pave an extension of West Sixth Street from Renshaw Drive west to Highway 110 at a cost of 255-thousand dollars, which also includes storm sewer work. Kelly says it will be paid from local option sales tax revenue and storm sewer funds.
The public hearings will be held during the March fifth city council meeting. Also during that meeting, a public hearing on the proposed city budget for the fiscal year beginning July first.
