A physical defensive battle in Lake Park as Harris Lake Park ends Newell Fonda’s season with a 40-34 victory.

Both defenses showed their ability in the first quarter as neither offense had an easy shot attempt or lane to the basket. At the end of the first quarter Harris Lake Park led 6-2. The Wolves found a few more easy looks in the second quarter and built a 14 point halftime lead. In the third quart the Wolves lead grew to 16 points as Eli Ihnen scored all 10 points for Harris Lake Park in the quarter.The fourth quarter belonged to the Mustangs as they were able to cut the Wolves lead down to as little as four but in the end the momentum belonged to the home team as Harris Lake Park was able to hold on for the six point win.

Brady Bohe lead the Mustangs in scoring with eight points. Rigo Johnson, The Wells Ag Supply of Fonda “Player of the Game” added six points, grabbed a couple of offensive rebounds, caused two jump balls while diving on the floor and drew a key charge call in the fourth quarter.
