The Storm Lake city council has given final approval to a water main project.
          A new eight-inch water main was installed along highway 110 south of Marina road for existing and future development.  Additional fire hydrants along the line will also provide better fire protection south of the city.  The project cost 89-thousand dollars, paid by reserve water and sewer funds.  Infrastructure director Pat Kelly says the water main has been inspected and is now in service.
