2/17/12 SL United Ambushes Local Businesses

The Storm Lake United Investor Development Committee is always looking for ways to promote Storm Lake United member businesses.  On February 14th, the committee successfully staged an Ambush at three local member businesses.  The goal of the Ambush is to thank the business for being a member of Storm Lake United and draw a little attention to them in the process.  The Investor Development Committee brings treats, balloons, and a certificate for the staff at the selected businesses to thank them for their dedication to the Storm Lake Community.

The Storm Lake United Investor Development Committee chose Walgreens, Storm Lake Honda and Rust’s Western Shed as their Ambush targets.  All three businesses are very deserving of this recognition as they are dedicated members and provide exceptional customer service to the Storm Lake Area Community.  Mike Rust of Rust’s Western Shed noted that he is glad to be a part of Storm Lake United and it was a nice surprise to see the group on Valentine’s Day.

Treats for the Ambush were provided by Storm Lake Radio and the balloons were provided by Storm Lake United.  Participating committee members were Lori Droegmiller of Citizens Community Credit Union, Stephanie Beck of Faith, Hope & Charity, Jason Erickson of Walgreens, Judy Halder of Central Bank, Jennifer Hecht of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Angelique Anderson and Meghan Sager of Storm Lake United.

Storm Lake United works to enhance the quality of life in the Storm Lake area while promoting Business Growth and Tourism.  For more information, contact Storm Lake United at (712) 732.3780 or go to VisitStormLake.com.
