Astronomy Night

The Buena Vista County Conservation Board and The Sanford Museum are partnering to offer Astronomy Night. Spend an evening under the moon and stars. The night will begin by identifying the constellations, followed by using telescopes to observe the moon and planets. The program will be held at Buena Vista County Conservation Park in the South Shelter Area on Friday, June 14th at 9:30 PM. Refreshments are provided. Feel free to bring a blanket and/or chairs to view the stars. If you plan on attending, please let the naturalist know by Wednesday, June 12th by calling 712-295-7985. Buena Vista County Conservation Park is located at 377 440th Street Peterson, IA 51047. If this program is cancelled due to poor weather conditions, there will be a make up date of July 12th.
