I started in sales at KAYL in 1987 and became Station manager 2001. I like to cook as long as I don’t have to do dishes. I enjoy watching sporting events and the World Series of Poker...I don’t consider it a sporting event even though it is on ESPN. I have always wanted to be on the USA Olympic Curling team. I like to golf, fish (especially ice fish) even though winter is my least favorite season.
I'm Jeremy Riesenberg, marketing consultant at Storm Lake Radio. I've been a member of the team here since November of 2009. Prior experiences include various newspaper and magazine positions, event planning, public relations and even telemarketing. I guess it's fair to say if you consider it media, I've dabbled in it at some point professionally. I am a 2001 graduate of Manson-Northwest Webster High School, and have taken a variety of college courses at Iowa Central Community College and Buena Vista University. While in High School, I spent a handful of years racing dirtbikes professionally on the National Arenacross Tour, where I was awarded the Most Determined Rider award after the 1999-2000 season. I live in Palmer with my wife, Melissa, and our two boys, Elijah and Ryder. In my spare time, I enjoy watching New York Giants and Iowa Hawkeyes football, golfing, and any excuse to get outside with my family. I also enjoy being an active part of the communities that I serve. I am proud to advocate and fundraise yearly for Autism Speaks, a cause that is near and dear to my heart with my son Elijah, who was diagnosed with Autism in the spring of 2010.
I joined the Storm Lake Radio Marketing team in October of 2010. Prior to coming to Storm Lake Radio, I had done a little bit of everything. I graduated from Odebolt-Arthur High School and I received my Associates degree from Iowa Central. After college, I enlisted in the Army, after my initial schooling I was stationed at 3rd Battalion 75th Regiment before I finished my Army enlistment at 101st Airborne Division. My past work experience includes being a Business Manager for a Start-up company and at a branch Fortune 500 company. I was a Marketing and Sales Manager and also have been a Safety and Security Manager. I came to KAYL and KKIA because of the respect and dependability the community has for its stations and the ability Storm Lake Radio has to grow our local businesses which is crucial to small town Iowa’s survival. Speaking of small town Iowa, I live in Odebolt, with my wife Sarah, 4 kids, Tevin, Easton, Haley, and Breah. I spend most of my free time trying to keep my kids active. I am a huge Hawkeye fan and I am always either in Iowa City or watching them on TV.
