The Storm Lake City Council will hold two public hearings Monday afternoon.
The first is on applying for a Community Development Block Grant that if approved, would fund rehabilitation of up to six houses. The second is on plans and specs for the Michigan Street parking lot project. The city only received one bid for the project, which is considerably over the engineer’s estimate, and city staff is recommending the council reject the bid.
Also on today’s agenda… a plan to reduce the building permit fees for new home construction, approving city goals, and a lime hauling contract.
The council meeting is open to the public, beginning at 5:00 Monday afternoon at city hall.
