Three northwest Iowa men have been sentenced to federal prison in connection with the theft of guns, ammunition, and cash.
According to court records, 27-year-old Colton Novak of Sioux City was sentenced to 50 months… 25-year-old Tylor Boyd of Sioux City was sentenced to 72-months… and 25-year-old Daniel Powell of Otho was sentenced to 99-months.
All three pleaded guilty in federal court in Sioux City to conspiracy to possess and sell stolen firearms, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person. The three were also ordered to jointly pay over 87-thousand dollars in restitution.
Novak, Boyd, and Powell were charged with breaking into a gun shop in Greene County in February of last year… where they took a gun safe containing guns, ammunition, thousands of dollars in cash and other items.
