Storm Lake is hoping to receive federal funds to help pay for the Oneida Street phase two reconstruction project.
Assistant city manager David Derragon says the project involves replacing Oneida Street from East Railroad Street south to Lakeshore Drive. He says the project is estimated to cost two-point-one million dollars, and the city is seeking 401-thousand dollars in federal funds. If approved, the project is planned for 2023.
Derragon says phase one of the Oneida Street project from Milwaukee Avenue to Railroad Street is already approved, with design work expected to begin soon.
