On March 15th 2019 at approximately 4:44pm, in the 700 Block of Ontario St. in Storm Lake, a vehicle driven by Jose Diaz Rojas of Storm Lake, was involved in an accident with a vehicle driven by Matthew Sefcik of Alta. The two vehicles collided causing total damages estimated at $2000. Diaz Rojas was cited for Unsafe Backing.

On March 15th 2019 at approximately 6:00pm, at 1831 North Lake Ave. in Storm Lake, a vehicle driven by Pang Xiong of Storm Lake, was involved in an accident with a vehicle driven by Cheyenne Groves Malo of Storm Lake. The two vehicles collided causing total damages estimated at $1400.

On March 16th 2019 at approximately 11:56am, in the 1700 Block of Tulip Lane in Storm Lake, an unknown vehicle struck a Fire Hydrant owned by the City of Storm Lake. Total damages were estimated at $100.

On March 16th 2019 at approximately 12:13pm, at 111 Salebarn Rd. in Storm Lake, a vehicle owned by Adelina Iraheta of Storm Lake, was struck by a vehicle driven by Karla Iraheta of Storm Lake. Total damages were estimated at $450.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at approximately 2:09pm the Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched to Midtown located at 1101 East 5th Street in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival of police store staff alleged that an adult male was standing in the establishment’s parking lot in front of the store yelling and causing a disturbance. The suspect reportedly walked away after the police were called.
Responding officers located the suspect in the 400 block of Flindt Drive and identified him as Thavone Navongsa, age 37 of Storm Lake.
Following an investigation the SLPD arrested Navongsa and charged him with Disorderly Conduct (simple misdemeanor). He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $300.00 bond.
