Two Charged After Motel Disturbance

Two arrests were made Saturday morning after Storm Lake Police were dispatched to the Quality Inn on North Lake Avenue to investigate a disturbance.

Officers were told one of the suspects was sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot and the second suspect had returned to a guest room. The reporting party told police the two suspects had allegedly caused a disturbance in the lunch room by shouting, swearing, and causing a mess.

Police allege the person sitting in a running vehicle, 26-year-old Ryan Morgan of Morehead, Kentucky, was intoxicated. He was taken into custody and charged with OWI, a serious misdemeanor… and disorderly conduct, a simple misdemeanor. Morgan was jailed on a 13-hundred dollar bond.

The second suspect was located Saturday afternoon in a guest room at the motel. Police charged 38-year-old William Staton of Owingsville, Kentucky with disorderly conduct, a simple misdemeanor. He was jailed on a 300-dollar bond.
