A Cherokee woman was charged after Storm Lake Police early Thursday morning saw her walking in the roadway with a vehicle following her near the intersection of East Milwaukee Avenue and Erie Street.
Police made contact with the pedestrian and the occupant of the vehicle, and allege the woman had been in the vehicle and an argument occurred with the other occupant. The woman, identified as 27-year-old Mariah Thompson-Ewing of Cherokee, left the vehicle and began to walk.
Police learned Thompson-Ewing was wanted on a Buena Vista County warrant charging her with failure to pay fines for domestic assault. Police allege Thompson-Ewing was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Thompson-Ewing was charged her with possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor, and held on a 15-hundred dollar bond.
