St. Mary’s Basketball Swept in Ruthven

Tuesday’s double-header in Ruthven began with GT-RA’s girls defeating Storm Lake St. Mary’s 58-23.

The Panthers scored the first two points, but GT-RA scored the next six and never trailed after that.  The Titans broke it open with a 12-0 run late in the 1st into the 2nd quarter.

Lizzie Lenhart topped St. Mary’s with 13 points, as they are now 2-2.

Toni Alesch led GT-RA with 22, as they stay unbeaten at 5-0.

 

The GT-RA boys downed St. Mary’s 76-41.

The Panthers led early 6-2, but GT-RA took control with a 10-0 run after that.  The Titans scored the last two of the 1st half to go up 37-25, and then exploded for 20 straight points to start the 3rd quarter.

Dawson Miller had a team-leading 16 points for the Panthers.  Tom Geelan led three in double-figures for the Titans with 25, as GT-RA moves to 3-0.

St. Mary’s is now 1-2.  The Panthers teams travel to West Bend Mallard on Friday, and they will be broadcast on Mix 101.7.
