Police Blotter

On the morning of Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 9:56am the Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched to the Storm Lake Wal-Mart Store in reference to a disruptive patron.
Upon arrival of police they met with store staff who alleged that a patron, identified as Adolph Ross Craig, age 80 of Newell, IA., caused a disturbance at the store by yelling at staff multiple times while returning a product. He then departed the store.
Following an investigation police met with Craig at approximately 12:40pm and cited him for Disorderly Conduct (simple misdemeanor). He was processed and released pending a court date.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at approximately 4:25pm the Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched to the Storm Lake Wal-Mart Store in reference to a theft.
Upon arrival of police they met with store staff who alleged that a patron, identified as Karla Jean Vanroekel, age 45 of Cherokee, IA attempted to leave the store without paying for over $80.00 in merchandise.
Following an investigation the SLPD arrested Vanroekel and charged her with Theft 5th Degree (simple misdemeanor). She was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $300.00 bond.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at approximately 2:25pm Storm Lake Police arrested a wanted person at the police station.
Police arrested Rebecca Yalle, age 20 of Storm Lake who was wanted out of Buena Vista County on a warrant for Failure to Pay Fines.
Yalle was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
