The Storm Lake City Council this week approved several appointments to city boards.
William Manriquez was appointed to the Board of Adjustment, with a term to expire in 2020. Michelle Smith and Howard Hatlelid were named to the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for Parks, Trails, and Urban Forest. Marius Agua was appointed to the Storm Water Advisory Board.
The council also set a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Storm Lake Third Addition Urban Renewal Plan. City manager Keri Navratil says the city is the developer of the lots in the third addition. Two of the lots were dedicated to the school district for the high school building trade class. The amendment would transfer lot 23 from the urban renewal area to the school district. The public hearing will be during the city council meeting on December third.
