Voters in the Cherokee School District approved a 12-million dollar bond issue Tuesday.
Voters approved the measure with a 77-percent “yes” vote… 60-percent was needed for approval. The funds will go for the construction and furnishing of a Pre-K through fourth-grade school… and improvements to the Cherokee middle and high schools.
Voters in the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn School District passed a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy with 78-percent approval. They also approved an Instructional Support Levy, which will be used for general fund purposes, also with 78-percent voting “yes.”
