Oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg, with the Lundberg Survey says crude oil prices are the main factor. Another big factor is that refiners are ending their production of summer-blend gasoline, which is more expensive to make.
According to the website gasbuddy.com, the lowest price for regular unleaded in Iowa is $2.47 in Sioux City. Prices in Storm Lake are as low as $2.66.
