13-Year-Old Charged With Counterfeit Money

Storm Lake Police have made another arrest in connection with counterfeit money.

Friday evening, police investigated a report of a juvenile who allegedly attempted to purchase merchandise at the Storm Lake High School Football Game with a fake 20-dollar bill. Police located the suspect and identified him as a 13 year old male of Storm Lake. Police allege they seized from the juvenile counterfeit twenty-dollar bills.

The 13-year-old was charged with forgery,a class “D” felony. The juvenile was processed and released to a parent pending an appearance in juvenile court.

Last Wednesday, police charged a 16-year-old Storm Lake boy with forgery for allegedly having two 50-dollar counterfeit bills.
