A Hartley man… arrested in February of last year on charges stemming from a single vehicle crash… has been sentenced.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 50-year-old Daniel Hinrichs was charged with third-offense operating while intoxicated, failure to maintain control, driving while suspended, driving while revoked, and use of an electronic communications device…texting while driving.
Hinrichs pleaded guilty to second-offense OWI and driving while revoked. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail on the driving while revoked charge… and 730-days, suspended after seven for OWI. He was ordered to pay 41-hundred dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs… and was placed on probation for one year.
