The Ridge View girls basketball season came to an end Tuesday night as the Raptors fell to 14th ranked IKM-Manning 93-52 in a Class 2A regional quarterfinal played in Manning.
Ridge View jumped out to a 5-3 lead to start the game but the Wolves responded with a 17-0 run to take the lead for good. IKM-Manning led 27-11 after one quarter and led by as many as 22 points before halftime. The Raptors got the deficit down to 15 points late in the second quarter but IKM-Manning ended the first half on a buzzer beater to go up 47-30 and scored the first nine points of the third quarter to pull away.
Ridge View was led in scoring by Beth Pickhinke who finished with 18 points while Kennedy Mason added 14. Graceland basketball commit Shauna Reitan led the way for IKM-Manning, scoring a game-high 21 points while Kia Rasmussen added 18.
With the win, IKM-Manning improves to 17-4 and will advance to play #5 Logan-Magnolia Friday night in a regional semifinal at Denison. Logan-Magnolia, who defeated IKM-Manning by ten points in early December, advanced with a 64-27 victory over Tri Center on Tuesday. Ridge View closes at 12-9 and graduates three seniors; Pickhinke, Erin Johnson and Paige Todd.
