The Sioux Central boys basketball team got off to a hot start leading 22-11 after the 1st quarter against South Central Calhoun and never looked back winning 65-57 to open up postseason play in Class 2A. The rebels led 38-25 at the half. SCC made a nice comeback in the 3rd quarter outscoring Sioux Central 16-11 to get themselves back to 49-41 after the 3rd quarter. Sioux Central made enough plays in the end to get the victory by 8 points. The rebels made 8 three pointers, 7 of them came from Hunter Decker. He was our Wells Ag Supply of Fonda player of the game. He finished with a game high 25 points. Sioux Central improves to 12-9 and will take on Alta-Aurelia Thursday on KAYL. South Central Calhoun gto 17 points from Zane Neubaum and 16 from Jared Birks as they finish the season at 8-14.
