Pope Entered Not Guilty Plea For Harassment Charge

An Odebolt man this week entered a not guilty plea to charges related to a standoff with law enforcement officers last September.

Thirty-four year-old Justin Pope entered his pleas in Sac County District Court to two counts of first-degree harassment, both aggravated misdemeanors. His trial was scheduled for April third.

Pope was charged in connection with a four-hour standoff with officers September tenth at a home in the 400 block of West First Street in Wall Lake. Pope had made homicidal and suicidal threats both before and during the standoff with authorities.
