A Storm Lake teen has been charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred a year ago.
Last Friday, police received a report of a sexual assault which occurred in January of last year. Police were told by a 13-year-old male victim that on January seventh, 2017, he was sexually assaulted by a 16-year-old male of Storm Lake at a residence in the 1700 block of Rose Lane. Police interviewed a series of individuals in connection with the investigation.
Tuesday night, police arrested the suspect, who is now 17, and charged him with sexual assault, a class “C” felony. The charge is a forcible felony and the 17-year-old was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a ten-thousand dollar bond.
