A Storm Lake man… arrested in late October as part of a drug bust by Storm Lake Police… has pleaded not guilty.
Thirty-four year-old Veil Douglass entered his plea Monday in Buena Vista County District Court to delivery of meth, gathering where controlled substances are used, possession of meth, possession of cocaine, child endangerment, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Douglass was arrested October 31st after police conducted a controlled purchase of meth from Douglass at 1123 North Ontario Street.. During a search of the house, police located meth, cocaine and marijuana, drug paraphernalia and scales. Police allege drugs were kept in a cabinet accessible to a minor who lived in the home.
A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for February 12th, with trial set for May 15th.
Also arrested during the investigation was 20-year-old Jamal Carter of Storm Lake… who has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance. His trial is scheduled for April tenth.
Thirty-nine year-old Jennifer Lichtenburg of Storm Lake has pleaded not guilty to child endangerment and drug possession charges. A 14-year-old male was arrested and charged in juvenile court.
