Charges Filed After Child Porn Found On Computer

A Storm Lake man faces over 20 counts of exploitation of a minor following a police investigation of child endangerment.

Friday night, Storm Lake police received a report from the Iowa Department of Human Services that an allegation had been made that on January 16th, the husband of a babysitter had allowed a three-year-old child to view pornographic material at 720 Hudson Street. The husband is identified as 58-year-old Noe Casco of Storm Lake.

On January 19th, police searched the residence, seizing computers and computer-related equipment. Some of the computer equipment has been transferred to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation for forensic analysis. Police investigators continued to review flash drive storage that was seized, and on Thursday allegedly located about 16 videos containing images of at least 22 unidentified minor children between the ages of three and 17 engaged in sexual activity. Investigators believe at this time the images were downloaded and not videoed by the suspect.

Friday afternoon, Casco was charged with 22 counts of exploitation of a minor, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was jailed on a 50-thousand dollar bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.

Police are being assisted in the investigation by the Iowa DCI and the Iowa Department of Human Services.
