3rd Ranked Hawks Stay Perfect Against Panthers

NicholasRuden scored 18 of his game high 20 points in the first half helping Remsen-Saint Mary’s beat Storm Lake-Saint Mary’s 66-42.

Brody Ricke added 14 points and Carter Kuchel 13 as the Hawks improve to 17-0 on the season.

The Hawks built a 32-14 in the 2nd quarter behind the scoring of Ruden but it was the Panthers that closed the half on a 5-0 run, thanks to Will Hurd draining a 3-pointer and Chakouthchok Malou getting a steal and a layup in the final :30 seconds to make it 38-27 at the half.

Remsen-Saint Mary’s outscored the Panthers 13-3 in the 3rd quarter and they were never challenged in the 2nd half.

Malou and Hurd led the Panthers in scoring with  11 points each in the first half, but were held scoreless in the 2nd half.  The Panthers fall to 2-14 on the season.
