It would appear that the Iowa State wrestling team has officially turned a corner.
A big win over Oregon State two weeks ago, followed by a strong showing at the Virginia Duals last weekend, turned an 0-4 season record to a 5-5 mark. On Sunday, the Cyclones continued their hot wrestling, turning a 17-7 deficit into a 25-16 win over West Virginia at Hilton Coliseum.
The victory pushes Iowa State’s record to 6-5 overall, the first time all season the Cyclones have been above .500. It was also their first Big 12 Conference win after dropping their first two league duals of the 2017-18 season.
