The East Sac County boys helped keep their Twin Lakes Conference title hopes alive, with a 57-48 win at Alta Aurelia Friday night.
The Raiders took the lead for good midway through the 1st quarter, leading 11-7 after the 1st, and were up by as many as ten in the 1st half, which Alta Aurelia cut to 22-17 at the half.
The Warriors got within three right away in the 3rd, but East Sac responded with an 11-2 run on their way to a 35-23 lead going into the 4th, and the Raiders lead never dipped below seven from there.
Levi Olhausen had 22 for East Sac, including six threes, leading all scorers and getting the Wells Ag Supply of Fonda Player of the Game honors, along with the Raiders defensive effort. Ryan Bellock added 12.
Alex Snyder led the Warriors with 13, including three from downtown.
East Sac improves to 8-5 overall, and 5-2 in the TLC, dropping Alta Aurelia to 11-3, 4-3.
The Alta Aurelia girls led by as many as 34 late in the 3rd quarter in their 75-63 win.
The Raiders closed the gap with a 32-point 4th quarter, and got as close as nine in the final minute.
Alta Aurelia never trailed, and were led by Erin Lockin with 21, and Lily Peterson with 18, as they shared the Wells Ag Supply of Fonda Player of the Game.
Mary Barnes and Chloe Kruger each had 13 for the Warriors, and they talked after the game…
Taylor Houska also got a share of the Player of the Game, scoring a game-high 33 for the Raiders, including seven threes, as East Sac drops to 8-6 overall, 2-5 TLC. Alta Aurelia is now 8-8, 5-2.
The East Sac teams will next play on Tuesday at home against Manson Northwest Webster.
