SLHS Student Terrorism Threats Charge

A teen was arrested after Storm Lake Police officers were called to the Storm Lake High School regarding a student that had reportedly made a threat to harm students in the school.
Officers arrived around 10:30 this morning and learned that a 15-year-old male student from Storm Lake had left a threatening note inside the school. Officers seized the note as evidence and took the student into custody for questioning.
At approximately 1pm Thursday, the 15-year-old was arrested and charged with Threats of Terrorism, a class D felony. The student was referred to juvenile court, and released to a guardian.
The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted by the Storm Lake High School administration.
