An Ida Grove man faces charges after his vehicle was stopped last October by Storm Lake Police for a traffic violation at Fifth and Larchwood.
Officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and determined the driver… 48-year-old Lebarron Gamble of Ida Grove… had recently used marijuana. Gamble was given an evaluation from a police drug recognition expert and submitted to a urine test for controlled substances. Gamble was released pending lab results. His vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was obtained. Officers executed the warrant and seized marijuana and other drug paraphernalia from the vehicle.
On January third, police received the lab results from the Department of Criminal Investigation, which indicated a presence of marijuana in his system. Wednesday evening, Gamble was located at Tyson Pork and taken into custody. He was charged with OWI and possession of marijuana, both serious misdemeanors… and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Gamble was jailed on a 23-hundred dollar bond.
