Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Cherokee County Friday afternoon.
The state patrol reports a minivan driven by 26-year-old Elizabeth Timmins of Cherokee was eastbound on highway three just east of Cherokee. She crossed the center line, side-swiping a westbound SUV driven by 65-year-old Constance Mohn of Cherokee. The Timmins vehicle came to rest in the westbound lane. Mohn’s vehicle went into the ditch.
Both drivers were taken to the Cherokee Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Timmins was charged with driving the wrong way on a two-lane highway.
