Wood Sentenced

A Webb man facing numerous charges after a traffic stop last January by the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office has been sentenced.

Forty-nine year-old Christopher Wood was charged with driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor… operation of a motor vehicle without the required ignition interlock device, a serious misdemeanor… and simple misdemeanor charges of improper vehicle registration, operating a non-registered vehicle, failure to carry proper registration card, no proof of insurance, speeding, and two counts of driving with a suspended license.

Wood pleaded guilty to driving while barred and was given a 60-day suspended sentence. He was placed on probation for one year, ordered to submit a DNA sample, and pay 23-hundred dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.
