Beth Pickhinke scored a game high 23 points and grabbed 15 defensive rebounds leading Ridge View to a 60-51 win over Storm Lake in the first game of a non-conference double-header played at Storm Lake Monday night.
There were 14 lead changes in the first half with the Raptors taking a 29-25 lead at the break. Storm Lake would take their biggest lead of the game at 47-44 with five minutes to play but the Raptors went on a 16-4 run to close out the game. Kinzey Dutler added 11 points, five assists and four steals, and Kenzee Wunschel had seven points and 11 rebounds as the Raptors improve to 6-4 on the year.

Storm Lake was led by Pasha Nyewe’s 17, Rachel Bozonie had 14, and Kaylee Oehler had 12. The Tornadoes are now 2-10 overall.
In the nightcap the Storm Lake boys never trailed in their 72-42 win over Ridge View. Cham Deng and Malga Yanga scored 16 points each and Choul Gatluak added 13 off the bench. The Tornadoes are now 7-3 on the year. Yanga sent the crowd into a frenzy in the first half when he caught an outlet pass, threw it off the backboard and dunked it with two hands.

Kevin McGuire scored 11 points off the bench to lead the Raptors in scoring. Ridge View is now 2-8 on the year and the Raptor teams will host MVAOCOU Tuesday night.
