Galvin Sentenced

A Cherokee man arrested last January after a Clay County Deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic offense has been sentenced.

Forty-seven year-old Stephen Galvin was charged with OWI, interference with official acts, speeding, and open container. He pleaded guilty to the OWI charge and was given a one-year suspended sentence. Galvin was placed on probation for one year and ordered to pay two-thousand dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.
