A Sioux Falls man… arrested in August in connection with a theft of firearms from a Spencer business in July of 2014… has been sentenced in Clay County District Court.
Thirty-three year-old Jermaine Hill was charged with first-degree theft and third-degree burglary in connection with a burglary in July of 2014. Hill allegedly was in possession of more than ten-thousand dollar worth of firearms stolen from Southern Archery in Spencer.
According to court records, the first-degree theft charge was dismissed… and Hill pleaded guilty to accessory to a felony. He was given a two-year suspended sentence… placed on probation for two years… ordered to pay 27-hundred dollars restitution… and 11-hundred dollars in fines, surcharges, and court costs.
